FAQ:
1. What is casing in drilling?
Casing is a series of steel pipes that are run into a drilled oil well to stabilize the well, keep contaminants and water out of the oil stream, and prevent oil from leaching into the groundwater. Casing is installed in layers, in sections of decreasing diameter that are joined together to form casing strings.
2. What is the difference between HDD and Microtunneling?
Extremely accurate and low-risk, microtunnelling is a pit-launched technology that requires a large initial investment. On the other hand, HDD is less expensive than microtunnelling because it is surface launched. But because it's less accurate and there could be flex in the pipeline, the risk is larger.
3. What benefits does directed drilling offer?
Directional drilling is significantly more cost-effective than
trenching a replacement when it comes to subsurface plumbing
replacement. There will be substantially less dirt to replace after
the project is over because it uses less machinery than a
traditional method and takes a lot less time in total. Fewer
machines mean lower costs.
4. How does less damage to the landscape result from horizontal
drilling?
An increasingly popular trenchless method for minimizing
environmental harm is horizontal directional drilling. You can
maintain your landscape and lawns by using horizontal drilling.
Golf courses and other more delicate, well-kept areas are excellent
candidates for this.
